¡En México! :)

I have arrived safe and sound in Guanajuato, México, a city of great history and culture. I am already enjoying exploring the winding maze of alleyways and a few of the beautiful plazas. I wrote in my journal for the first time since the night after my return from Antigua, Guatemala. The leisurely feeling of traveling is wonderful, and I felt it strongly as I sat and wrote in the Plaza de la Paz, surrounded by flowers, sunlight, and many people, locals and tourists alike. This weekend I will likely visit some museums, basilicas, and the Hidalgo market. Guanajuato City was the birth of the Mexican revolution with the ¨Cry for Independence,¨ and so I hope to check out some of the historical monuments and learn more of the stories soon.
